Synopsis:
As the X-Men return to Earth for some downtime after saving the universe, they attempt to reconnect with normal life. Jean Grey opens up to her parents about becoming Phoenix, while Scott Summers struggles with his emotions. The calm is broken when Weapon Alpha — James MacDonald Hudson — makes his first appearance. Tasked by the Canadian government’s Department H to retrieve Wolverine, Weapon Alpha confronts the team during a lakeside picnic. A tense battle ensues, ending with Weapon Alpha retreating, overwhelmed by the X-Men’s powers. This issue sets the stage for future Canadian superhero developments, including Alpha Flight.
