Synopsis:
HUSH CHAPTER 1 – THE RANSOM Batman infiltrates an FBI perimeter at the Gotham City Shipyard to rescue Edward Lamont IV, a kidnapped heir. After taking down the guards, Batman confronts Killer Croc, whose involvement in the kidnapping seems out of character. Subduing Croc, Batman suspects another player is manipulating events. Catwoman is spotted fleeing with the ransom, but Batman questions her motives. During pursuit, his rope is severed mid-swing, resulting in a brutal fall. The issue ends with Catwoman under Poison Ivy's control, revealing a larger conspiracy at play.
