Synopsis:
In "The Day 100,000 People Vanished," the Guardians warn Hal Jordan of Sinestro, a renegade Green Lantern who had been stripped of his power and banished into the anti-matter universe of Qward. Sinestro captures the citizens of Valdale to lure Hal into a trap. Hal surrenders himself for their safe return, but while trapped inside a yellow bubble, he cleverly uses his ring to manipulate carbon dioxide particles he exhales to speed up a clock's hands, deceiving Sinestro into thinking the ring's charge had expired. This allows Hal to defeat Sinestro with just minutes of power to spare.
