Synopsis:
In this issue, Marcus Fenix is training a new recruit, Jace Stratton. Delta Squad, consisting of Marcus, Dom, Jace, and Gil, searches the Badlands for lost squads. They encounter Corporal Michael Barrick of Echo Six, whose team was killed in action. After setting up camp, the squad shares war stories. The next morning, they face Locust Drones, resulting in Gil's death. Jace, reminded of his own father's death, remains stoic. The squad returns to Jacinto for rest, where personal interactions unfold. After a week, Marcus, Dom, and Jace prepare for their next mission with Barrick joining their squad.
