Peter Parker awakens in a white void, reliving trauma and facing symbolic representations of his psyche and mortality, including a decomposing Ned Leeds and the spider identity that entombs him. Crawling out of a mental and literal grave, Peter fully reclaims his identity and emerges from where Kraven buried him alive. He returns home to Mary Jane before setting back out to confront Kraven and Vermin. This emotionally charged and visually haunting issue is one of the most pivotal in Spider-Man's dark psychological journey.
