Synopsis:
DANGER IS A MAN NAMED... TARANTULA: Running late for a cruise with Flash Thompson, Mary Jane, and Liz Allan, Peter web-slings to the docks so as not to miss the trip. Changing back to Peter Parker, he makes it just in time. The cruise goes sour when it is hijacked by the costumed mercenary known as the Tarantula, who intends to ransom the passengers for one million dollars. Peter slips away, changes into Spider-Man, and attacks Tarantula. However, when the villain knocks some of the crew overboard, Spider-Man must dive in to save them. Running out of web-fluid, he rushes home for refills, unaware that Harry Osborn sees him and discovers his secret identity. As word of the ransom reaches J. Jonah Jameson, Spider-Man returns to the ship to battle Tarantula again. Though struck by the drugged tips of Tarantula’s boots, Spider-Man fights back—until the drugs take hold. As he comes to, the Punisher appears, gun drawn, ready to take control of the situation.
