Synopsis:
Jean Grey resides on Muir Island where Moira MacTaggert begins testing her Phoenix powers. Unbeknownst to them, the dangerous Mutant X has escaped. Meanwhile, the X-Men train in the Danger Room, and Xavier grows increasingly worried about Jean’s condition. As Moira mentally alerts Jean to Mutant X’s escape, Jean is briefly transported to the 18th century and then attacked by Angus MacWhirter. The stage is set for the terrifying emergence of Proteus.
