Synopsis:
"Showdown!" With the X-Men all prisoner in his Antarctic base, Magneto renews his acts of terror on the human world. With the team incapacitated and under guard by his robot servant, Magneto begins his global assault. Unbeknownst to him, Storm manages to free herself and helps the X-Men regroup.
Jean uses her psychic powers to synchronize the team’s minds, allowing Cyclops to lead a coordinated attack. When Magneto returns, he’s confronted by a fully united X-Men ready for battle. Their confrontation causes the volcanic fortress to collapse. Magneto, Jean, and Beast escape, but Jean passes out from the effort. Beast carries her through the snow, but also collapses from exhaustion.
Flashbacks reveal Storm’s childhood in Cairo, where she learned thieving and escape skills from Achmed El-Gibar.
