Synopsis:
Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Nightcrawler head to a nightclub in New York City to investigate a new mutant detected by Cerebro. Meanwhile in Chicago, Emma Frost has captured Xavier, Colossus, Wolverine, and Storm. Kitty Pryde sneaks in and overhears a conversation between Emma and Sebastian Shaw. After Storm secretly gives Kitty a number to call for help, Kitty is discovered but escapes using her phasing powers. Back in New York, Jean Grey experiences more vivid hallucinations involving her ancestor and Jason Wyngarde. When she kisses Wyngarde in her vision, she's actually kissing someone in reality, unsettling Cyclops. As the X-Men continue their mission, Jean's behavior grows increasingly erratic, hinting at her transformation into the Dark Phoenix.
