Synopsis:
Jean is now residing on Muir Island with Alex, Lorna, and Jamie, where Moira MacTaggert begins testing her Phoenix powers. Still mourning Cyclops and believing the X-Men dead, Jean is vulnerable when Angus MacWhirter, consumed by hunger and malice, stalks her. Meanwhile, the X-Men train in the Danger Room while Xavier learns of the Phoenix Force’s growing threat. Moira suddenly realizes Mutant X has escaped, and her mental scream alerts Jean, who races to help but is assaulted by Angus. Elsewhere, cosmic events unfold in the Shi’ar Empire, foreshadowing greater turmoil to come.
