Synopsis:
THE MILLION DOLLAR DEBUT OF BATGIRL! Barbara Gordon, daughter of Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon, prepares to attend a masquerade charity ball in a costume styled after Batman, calling herself Batgirl. Upon arrival, she witnesses Killer Moth and his henchmen attacking Bruce Wayne. Jumping into action, she gives Bruce time to escape and become Batman. Though the villains manage to flee, Batgirl’s quick thinking plants a tracer on their vehicle. Later, Bruce receives a threat from Killer Moth demanding ransom, prompting a trap. When Barbara arrives to sell Bruce a rare book, she finds what appears to be his lifeless body. She suits up again, confronts the Moth-Men, and with the help of Batman and Robin, tracks them back to their hideout. There, Batgirl proves her skills by rescuing the Dynamic Duo and capturing Killer Moth. Batman and Robin wonder when they might see her again. RIDDLE OF THE SLEEPYTIME TAXI The Elongated Man and Sue Dibny, en route to a party, fall victim to a cabbie’s sleeping gas. Waking up in a different cab, Ralph investigates and uncovers a scheme run by Beejay and his crew who rob passengers while they’re unconscious. The Elongated Man apprehends them using his stretching abilities and brings the criminals to justice.
