Synopsis:
SHAW'S GAMBIT — Out in the Nevada Desert, the Hulk is smashing rubble to relax and avoid Bruce Banner's re-emergence. Sebastian Shaw arrives to recruit Hulk to fight the cosmic-powered Spider-Man as part of the Acts of Vengeance. Meanwhile, Spider-Man doubts his ability to control his new powers after nearly killing Goliath, but saves hostages at the Statue of Liberty. Later, the Hulk arrives in Manhattan and battles Spider-Man, realizing too late he's far stronger than before. As Hulk retreats, he challenges Spider-Man to a rematch. The next night on Roosevelt Island, the two clash again until two children accidentally wander into the battle. Spider-Man knocks Hulk into orbit, then rescues him from space. Hulk spares Spider-Man and leaves, while Peter questions the true nature of his power. Shaw vows to find a way to destroy Spider-Man once and for all.
