Synopsis:
The X-Men graduate, marking a milestone moment captured in a photo that becomes a recurring image in the series. Professor X appoints Cyclops as team leader and introduces him to Cerebro. Meanwhile, Magneto recruits the Blob from a carnival after a violent confrontation. With his memory of the X-Men restored, the Blob becomes part of Magneto's trap. The Brotherhood lures the X-Men into battle, but the Blob eventually turns on Magneto, blocking his missiles. Despite their efforts, the X-Men are unable to recruit the Blob, who walks away on his own. The issue also features the first appearance of the Greenwich Village café and Zelda, Iceman's future girlfriend.
