Synopsis:
*Amazing Spider-Man #31* marks a pivotal moment in Spider-Man's history with the debut of key characters: Gwen Stacy, Harry Osborn, and Miles Warren (who later becomes the Jackal). Spider-Man's quest to stop a group of criminals who have obtained nuclear cargo is complicated by his personal struggles, including Aunt May’s illness. The issue also introduces the first time Doctor Octopus is called the "Master Planner" and features the first usage of the iconic web-slinging sound effect “Thwip” when Spider-Man activates his web-shooters.
