Synopsis:
Following the events of Giant-Size X-Men #1, Professor Xavier assembles a new team of mutants to carry on the mission of the X-Men. While some original members depart, Cyclops remains to lead the new recruits on a mission to confront Count Nefaria and his Ani-Men. This issue marks a pivotal turning point for the series and launches the legendary Chris Claremont era.
