Synopsis:
In this issue, Spider-Man is framed for a series of robberies by a new villain, Mysterio, who uses special effects and illusions to mimic Spider-Man's abilities. Mysterio approaches J. Jonah Jameson, offering to defeat Spider-Man and prove him a menace. After a public battle, Spider-Man uncovers Mysterio's true identity as Quentin Beck, a special effects artist turned criminal, and clears his own name.
