Synopsis:
DISASTER! Struck with amnesia from his exposure to a Nullifier device, Spider-Man is convinced by Doctor Octopus that he is one of his henchmen. Spider-Man then assists them in committing crimes that make headlines, though something doesn’t feel right to him. Meanwhile, Peter Parker's absence has his friends and family worried. Doctor Octopus pressures Spider-Man to unmask, but Spider-Man becomes suspicious—if they were truly partners, Octopus would already know who he is. Realizing he’s been tricked, Spider-Man turns on Doctor Octopus and battles him. Meanwhile, the military has been tracking Spider-Man since a recent theft of secret missile plans. During the fight, John Jameson immobilizes Doctor Octopus using the Nullifier. When Octopus pleads for help, Spider-Man refuses and makes it clear he isn’t his ally—even if he doesn’t know who he is. As Doctor Octopus is taken into custody, Jameson invites Spider-Man to come with them, but he flees. Staring at his reflection in a window, Spider-Man hopes for clarity—but only sees a stranger staring back.
