Synopsis:
SPIDEY SMASHES THRU! Spider-Man has finally been caught by Spencer Smythe in his new Spider-Slayer robot. Smythe gloats that now, after all the defeats at the wall-crawler's hands, he'll finally get his revenge. He takes the captured Spider-Man back to his hideout to show off his victory. Meanwhile, Gwen Stacy meets with Randy Robertson after a successful protest against police surveillance cameras and later encounters Flash Thompson, who struggles to express his feelings. Back at Smythe's lab, Spider-Man breaks free, sabotages the Spider-Slayer, and captures Smythe’s men. He defeats the robot, warns J. Jonah Jameson to stop hiring Smythe, and later witnesses Gwen in distress as Flash is taken away by military officials.
