Synopsis:
GHOST MOUNTAIN MIDNIGHT! Bruce Wayne witnesses the abduction of a young woman from a nightclub in Gotham City and attempts to rescue her as Batman. However, the woman insists that the abductors are her brothers, and Batman is unable to prevent them from taking her away. He follows them to a small town near the mountains, where he discovers that the woman is to be sacrificed as part of a ritual for the beast on Ghost Mountain. Batman battles through the fanatics, who are all family members of the kidnapped woman, and ultimately rescues her from a feral bear. He then apprehends the town's sheriff, who is revealed to be the leader responsible for the human sacrifices.
COBRAS OF THE DEEP! While walking her dog Penny, Shiera Hall witnesses a romantic couple suddenly split up when the woman becomes terrified of the man and flees. Penny also becomes afraid of Shiera and runs off. Unbeknownst to Shiera, an Egyptian statue is the cause. Returning to the Midway City Museum, Shiera and Carter Hall are asked by Commissioner Emmett to help capture a group of criminals called the Sky-Raiders, who use flying devices to commit robberies. As Hawkman and Hawkgirl, they clash with the Sky-Raiders, but Hawkman becomes inexplicably afraid of their leader. They discover that the Egyptian statue emits a light causing fear in those it strikes. They devise a way to reverse the effect, curing Hawkman and others affected.
A MILLION-DOLLAR CORPSE! Criminal Del Lupin is released from jail, reflecting on how he underestimated the effectiveness of a truth serum that led to his confession. He plans to use this knowledge in a new scheme. Meanwhile, Green Lantern responds to a signal from his partner Doiby, who has confessed to a jewelry heist and shooting a guard. The police chief notes that multiple individuals have confessed to the same crime, all passing lie-detection tests. Green Lantern investigates to uncover the truth behind the mass confessions.
