Synopsis:
The Silver Surfer arrives to try and stop his master, Galactus, from destroying the Earth. Despite his efforts, he is unable to halt Galactus. However, this confrontation provides Johnny Storm the time he needs to return from Galactus's ship with the Ultimate Nullifier—a weapon capable of stopping Galactus. When Reed Richards threatens to use it, Galactus agrees to spare Earth in exchange for the weapon's return. True to his word, Galactus departs but punishes the Silver Surfer by stripping him of his space-time powers, exiling him on Earth. In the aftermath, Alicia Masters thanks the Silver Surfer for his help, causing the Thing to feel rejected. As life returns to normal, the press dismisses the Galactus event as a hoax. Meanwhile, Johnny begins his first day at Metro University, where he meets and befriends Wyatt Wingfoot.
