Synopsis:
With the construction of a massive citadel by the Sun-People threatening the ecosystem of the Savage Land, the X-Men have agreed to help Ka-Zar prevent its destruction. The X-Men are still in the Savage Land, battling Garokk, who is draining the region’s energy to gain power. As a result, winter arrives in the Savage Land for the first time in its history. Agents of Zaladane capture Banshee, Ka-Zar, Colossus, and Cyclops, leaving Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Zabu to mount a rescue mission.
Wolverine sends Zabu to call in reinforcements from the Fall People. Meanwhile, the remaining X-Men infiltrate the fortress, freeing Colossus, who defeats the enemy forces. Garokk escapes, but Cyclops pursues him. On the fortress summit, they clash until Banshee uses his sonic scream to destroy the city. Garokk falls into the abyss while Storm rescues Cyclops — but is unable to save Garokk. Fifteen days later, as the ice melts in the Savage Land, the X-Men set sail through Drake’s Passage to continue their journey.
