Synopsis:
Spider-Man swings through the city and spots Cyclops and Colleen Wing below. He says hello, but Cyclops, still mourning Jean Grey, is unresponsive. Suddenly, a disguised truck captures Cyclops and Colleen. Spider-Man, recognizing the truck as belonging to Arcade, calls the X-Mansion to warn the team—but Arcade himself answers the phone, having already captured several X-Men.
Storm, Banshee, Colossus, and Nightcrawler (along with their dates Betsy Wilford and Amanda Sefton) have been abducted. Wolverine is also taken after dinner with Mariko Yashida. The X-Men awaken imprisoned in giant spheres inside Arcade’s Murderworld—a deadly theme park designed to kill them. Each hero is funneled into a personalized trap: Cyclops faces a chamber with three doors and a moving wall, while Colossus and the others face similar life-threatening scenarios.
