Synopsis:
THE MENACE OF THE MOLTEN MAN!
As the school year comes to a close, Peter Parker is getting the cold shoulder from Liz Allan—so is Flash Thompson, without explanation. With graduation near, Peter is let out of school early and visits Spencer Smythe, creator of the robot. During a dispute between Smythe and Mark Raxton over a liquid metal alloy, the jar spills on Raxton during a scuffle, transforming him.
Raxton realizes his newfound strength and chooses a life of crime as the Molten Man. Spider-Man battles him and eventually subdues him by turning off the lights and webbing him in total darkness. Raxton is left for the police.
Peter then attends his graduation ceremony, with J. Jonah Jameson as the guest speaker. Afterward, Liz Allan confesses her feelings to Peter and says she’s ready to leave behind her former self. She walks away before Peter can respond.
