Synopsis:
After leaving the Savage Land, the X-Men are rescued at sea by a Japanese ship and brought to Japan. Upon arrival, they find the city of Agarashima engulfed in flames, the result of unnatural earthquakes and firestorms. The X-Men team up with Sunfire to stop Moses Magnum, who is using his powers to threaten Japan’s survival. Misty Knight and Colleen Wing also assist in the battle against Magnum’s forces and his deadly Mandroids.
During their time in Japan, Wolverine meets Mariko Yashida—Sunfire’s cousin—for the first time and is instantly drawn to her. It's also revealed that Wolverine speaks fluent Japanese. Meanwhile, in deep space, Professor Xavier and Lilandra are en route to the Shi’ar homeworld so Lilandra can claim the throne as empress.
