Synopsis:
When Cerebro sounds a massive alarm at the mansion, the X-Men track a mutant gathering to San Francisco where the hypnotic Mesmero is awakening latent mutants to form an army for Magneto. Among his victims is Lorna Dane, whom Iceman rescues from a street accident and hides in his hotel room. As the rest of the team confronts Mesmero's squad and suffers an injury to Angel, Beast utilizes a portable Cerebro to confirm Lorna's mutant nature, but Mesmero ambushes the apartment to capture both her and Iceman. A backup feature details the origin of Beast, revealing how his father's exposure to nuclear radiation altered his DNA.
