Synopsis:
The X-Men return to Earth after their cosmic adventure and take some time to adjust to normal life. Jean reveals to her parents that she is Phoenix, while Cyclops struggles with his feelings. Meanwhile, the issue introduces the notorious Canadian hero, Weapon Alpha (James MacDonald Hudson), who is sent by the Canadian government’s Department H to capture Wolverine, who is still considered their property due to the Weapon-X program. After a confrontation with Wolverine, Weapon Alpha retreats, fearing the X-Men's powers. This issue sets up the future appearance of Alpha Flight and highlights a key moment in Wolverine's past.
