Synopsis:
"The Trial of Magneto!" Magneto is escorted in handcuffs to his trial. A reporter recounts how Freedom Force captured him. Sir James Jaspers leads the prosecution, while Gabrielle Haller and Professor X head the defense. Meanwhile, the Von Strucker twins watch the trial from the Mediterranean. Elsewhere, the X-Men and New Mutants are teleported back from Asgard and begin searching for Professor X. Terrorist attacks occur across Europe, falsely attributed to the X-Men. During the trial, the Von Struckers attack to avenge their father. Magneto saves civilians and the judge sees his humanity. As the courtroom floods, Magneto saves Charles, who suffers a heart attack. Professor X entrusts his dream and school to Magneto before being taken off-world. Phoenix confirms that Professor X is “gone,” and Magneto commits to following Xavier’s dream.
