Synopsis:
Moses Magnum threatens to destroy Japan with his "Magnum Force" unless the country surrenders to him. The X-Men, including Cyclops, Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Storm, Banshee, and Sunfire, launch a covert operation to stop him. Nightcrawler infiltrates the base and signals the others to enter through a tunnel they've created using their powers. Storm and Banshee attack from the sky, but Moses Magnum anticipates their move and ambushes the team.
Colossus survives a brutal counterattack and manages to defeat Moses's Madroids alone. Ultimately, it falls to Banshee to use his sonic scream to disrupt the energy being unleashed—destroying the island base but severely injuring his vocal cords in the process. Despite the devastation, the X-Men find time to celebrate Christmas before departing Japan.
Meanwhile, Jean Grey arrives in Edinburgh to spend Christmas with Moira MacTaggert, Havok, Lorna Dane, and Jamie Madrox. Believing the X-Men to be dead, they are unaware of the team's survival. Back on Muir Island, Angus MacWhirter breaks into Moira’s facility and encounters the mysterious Mutant X.
